According to an article in today's Mirror, Alan Rickman is one of those tapped to receive a royal honour, presumably for his acting, as well as for his charity work.

It'll be him and a host of British Olympians behind the "Great Haul of China".

It's an interesting development. I believe the formal announcement comes on Wednesday.
